Random Person: Oh wow that’s amazing but isn’t it the easy way out?
Me: No, not it’s not *as every fiber of my being wants to totally yell at the person*
Confidence is defined as a state of being certain in something that is correct or that a decision of you actions are the best or most effective. I feel that if one is self confidant it means also being arrogant, but that is not so. You or I can be self-confidant and not arrogant. I recently went to a boozy brunch with friends and I have to say the experience of drinking is very different after my RNY surgery. It wasn’t my first alcoholic beverage and I’ve spoken with my surgeon about consumption. Ideally alcohol should be completely eliminated however even my surgeon said its not realistic. Making tough decisions can be daunting. We can all agree (hopefully) that whatever lifestyle we lead now costs and affords us something. My body is morbidly obese and that’s why I was hiding from the world. I was also hiding from leading a fulfilling life that I crave.
